21,000 Lamps Illuminate Nau Chowki Pal: Maha Aarti Performed After Worshiping the Lake; Fireworks Win Hearts

The nine-day long festival of Chhath Puja concluded in Patna on Saturday with devotees thronging the banks of river Ganga to offer prayers to the rising sun.

The main ghats in the city, including Gandhi Ghat, Adalat Ghat, and NIT Ghat, were packed with devotees since early morning.

The devotees, mostly women, took a holy dip in the river and performed Chhath rituals. They offered prayers to the Sun God and sought his blessings for their families' happiness and prosperity.

The Chhath Puja celebrations in Patna were particularly grand this year, with the state government making special arrangements for the devotees. The government had set up temporary toilets, drinking water facilities, and medical camps at the ghats.

The state government had also organized a cultural program at Gandhi Ghat, which featured performances by renowned singers and dancers.

The festival of Chhath Puja is celebrated in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh. It is a major festival for the people of these states and is observed with great devotion.
