Blessin was satisfied after the 2-0 win against Hannover 96
After the 2-0 win against Hannover 96, coach Alexander Blessin was satisfied with the performance of his team. "It was a deserved win. We played very well in the first half and had a lot of chances. In the second half, we had to work hard, but we fought well and defended our goal well," said Blessin.
Blessin praised his team's fighting spirit. "The team showed a great fighting spirit today. We never gave up and always believed in ourselves. That's what makes me proud," said Blessin.
The coach was also pleased with the performance of his new signings. "The new players integrated well into the team. They showed that they have quality and that they can help us," said Blessin.
Goals from Schmidt and Dursun
The goals for Genoa were scored by Kevin Schmidt and Eldor Shomurodov. Schmidt scored the 1-0 in the 25th minute with a shot from outside the penalty area. Shomurodov made it 2-0 in the 55th minute with a header after a cross from Domenico Criscito.
With the win, Genoa moved up to 13th place in the Serie A table. Hannover 96 remains in 16th place.
