Bayer Leverkusen reportedly takes a defensive gem away from FC Bayern Munich
FC Bayern had to give up the hoped-for transfer of Hungarian U19 international Zsombor Senyei to Bundesliga rival Bayer Leverkusen.
After the record champions had already negotiated with the left-back in the winter, according to "Sport1", the Werkself reached an agreement with the 18-year-old and his club Fehérvár FC before the end of the transfer period at the end of January.
As the report says, Senyei should cost Leverkusen a transfer fee in the low seven-figure range. The young defender, who can also play on the right, is to receive a long-term contract until 2028.
This summer, the Hungarian U19 international is to join the Leverkusen U19 team and then work his way up to the Bundesliga squad.
Senyei is considered one of the greatest talents in Hungarian football and has been a regular in the Fehérvár FC first-team squad since the start of the season.
In addition to Bayern, other Bundesliga clubs as well as clubs from England and Italy are said to have shown interest in Senyei.
