RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace as Al Hilal SFC defeated Al-Tai FC 2-0 in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday. The Portuguese forward opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a left-footed shot from inside the box. He then doubled Al Hilal’s lead in the 40th minute with a header from a cross by Salem Al-Dawsari. The win moved Al Hilal to the top of the Saudi Pro League table with 37 points from 15 games. Al-Tai is in ninth place with 22 points from 15 games.Ronaldo has now scored 5 goals in 5 games for Al Hilal since joining the club from Manchester United in December. The 38-year-old forward has also provided 2 assists in his five appearances for the Saudi Arabian club. Al Hilal will next face Al-Taawoun FC in the Saudi Pro League on Monday. Al-Tai will next face Al-Ettifaq FC in the Saudi Pro League on Tuesday.
