Grenke AG Reports 9.5% Increase in Total Operating Income in First Half of 2023

Grenke AG, a leading global financial services provider, reported a 9.5% increase in total operating income to €484.1 million in the first half of 2023 compared to €442.4 million in the same period of the previous year.

The company's consolidated net income increased to €94.7 million, a €21.1 million increase from last year's €73.6 million. This increase was driven by higher net interest income and a decrease in administrative expenses.

Grenke's total assets increased by 4.9% to €10.7 billion, primarily due to an increase in the loan portfolio and cash and cash equivalents.

The company's equity ratio improved to 10.9%, up from 10.6% at the end of 2022. Grenke's strong capitalisation and liquidity position continue to support its growth plans.

Grenke AG's CEO, Michael Bücker, commented on the results: "We are pleased with our continued strong performance in the first half of 2023. Our focus on operational efficiency and customer-centric solutions has enabled us to deliver sustainable growth while maintaining a solid financial position."

The company reaffirmed its guidance for the full year 2023, expecting continued growth in total operating income and consolidated net income. Grenke AG remains committed to its long-term growth strategy, leveraging its digital capabilities and expanding its product offerings to meet the evolving needs of its customers.

Grenke AG's first-half 2023 financial results demonstrate the company's resilience and ability to adapt to changing market conditions. The company's strong financial performance and commitment to growth position it well for continued success in the future.
