Jangoo eyes dominant Super50 for Red Force, credits Pooran for strong 2024
Trinidad and Tobago Red Force captain Yannic Cariah has his eyes set on a dominant performance in the upcoming Super50 Cup, which begins on February 6.
The Red Force have won the tournament just once in the last 10 years, but Cariah believes his team has the quality to challenge for the title this year.
"We have a good team, with a lot of experienced players and some exciting young talent," Cariah said.
"We've been working hard in training, and we're all looking forward to the tournament."
One of the key players for the Red Force will be batsman Nicholas Pooran. The left-hander has been in excellent form in recent months, and Cariah believes he can be the difference-maker for his team.
"Pooran is a world-class player," Cariah said. "He's one of the best batsmen in the world, and he's always a threat to score runs.
"He's also a great leader, and he's always there to help the younger players."
The Red Force will face some tough competition in the Super50 Cup, but Cariah is confident that his team can rise to the challenge.
"We know it's going to be a tough tournament, but we're up for the challenge," Cariah said.
"We're going to go out there and play our best, and we're confident that we can win the tournament."
