Lübeck Friedenstraße: Dispute and brawl in shared apartment - Man brandishes machete

Lübeck police are investigating a dispute and brawl in a shared apartment on Friedenstraße.

A 31-year-old man allegedly pulled out a machete during the altercation.

According to police, the incident occurred on Sunday evening around 8:30 p.m. in a shared apartment on Friedenstraße in Lübeck. For reasons that are still unclear, a dispute broke out between the 31-year-old man and another resident, a 29-year-old man.

The argument escalated into a physical altercation, during which the 31-year-old man allegedly pulled out a machete and threatened his roommate. The other roommate was able to flee the apartment and call the police.

When police arrived, they found the 31-year-old man still in the apartment. He was taken into custody without resistance. The machete was also seized by the police. The 29-year-old man who had fled the apartment was found nearby and was also taken into custody.

Both men were slightly injured in the altercation and were taken to a hospital for treatment. The police are investigating the incident and are asking for witnesses to come forward.
