Public appeal for information in Bielefeld: Elderly woman seriously injured [Update]

Police publish photo – suspect still at large – public is asked for assistance

Bielefeld (ots) – Following a serious crime that occurred on Sunday evening (26.02.2023) on Bielefelder Straße in Bielefeld-Schildesche, the police are now publishing a photo of the suspected perpetrator and are once again appealing to the public for assistance.

As reported, the 75-year-old victim was walking home from a carnival event on Bielefelder Straße at around 8:30 p.m. when she was attacked by an unknown individual from behind and knocked to the ground.

The attacker then took the woman’s handbag, which contained her mobile phone and wallet, and fled in the direction of Herforder Straße.
