Fire brigade prevents major damage

Osterweddingen - In the early hours of this morning, a fire broke out in a biker club in Osterweddingen (Saxony-Anhalt). The fire brigade was able to prevent major damage.

The fire broke out at around 3 a.m. in a wooden building on the premises of the biker club "MC Dark Souls". According to the police, the fire brigade was alerted by passers-by who noticed smoke coming from the building. Due to the fire load, the wooden building quickly caught fire and the fire spread to the roof. Firefighters initially had trouble extinguishing the fire because the building was difficult to access. However, the fire brigade was able to bring the fire under control after about two hours.

According to initial estimates, the damage amounts to several tens of thousands of euros. The exact cause of the fire is still unknown and is being investigated by the police. There were no injuries.
