TT Red Force open title defence against CCC

Trinidad and Tobago Red Force will open the defence of their CG United Super50 crown against Combined Campuses and Colleges at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba on Saturday from 9:30am.
The match will be the curtain-raiser for the 2023 tournament which will see eight teams doing battle for the prestigious 50-over title in the Caribbean. The Red Force will be aiming to make it three titles in as many years after winning the 2020 and 2022 tournaments.
They will be led by left-handed batsman Darren Bravo who is the most experienced player in the squad with 53 One-Day Internationals under his belt. Bravo will be looking to lead from the front and score the runs to help his team to victory. Kieron Pollard, Akeal Hosein and Jason Mohammed are also part of a strong Red Force squad.
Combined Campuses and Colleges will be no pushovers. They have a number of talented players in their squad, including West Indies Under-19 stars Ackeem Auguste and Giovonte Depeiza. They will be looking to make a statement in the tournament and will be confident of giving the Red Force a run for their money.
