Braunschweig: Bridal shop Feuer, Waisenhausdamm closed

The fire brigade is currently extinguishing a fire in a bridal shop on Waisenhausdamm in Braunschweig. The street is currently closed.

At around 1:17 p.m., the fire brigade was alerted to the fire in the wedding shop. When the first emergency services arrived, smoke was already coming out of the building. The fire brigade is currently extinguishing the fire with several jets of water. The Waisenhausdamm is currently closed between Friedrich-Wilhelm-Straße and Wilhelmstraße. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

According to a fire department spokesman, the fire brigade is currently fighting the fire with several jets of water. The bridal shop is located on the ground floor of a residential and commercial building. The apartments above the shop are currently being evacuated. There are currently no reports of injuries.
