Werder Bremen loanee Kownacki suffers nasty double injury

German forward sidelined with head and knee issues

Werder Bremen loanee Dawid Kownacki has suffered a nasty double injury that will keep him out of action for a lengthy period.

The Polish striker sustained a head injury in training on Wednesday and was subsequently taken to hospital for further examination.

Scans revealed that Kownacki had also suffered a knee injury, which is expected to require surgery.
