Amstetten: Motorcycle Accident in the Municipality of Wallsee

On Monday, August 15, 2023, a motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident in the municipality of Wallsee in the Amstetten district.

The 19-year-old from the district of Amstetten was riding his motorcycle on the Landesstrasse L6158 from Zeillern in the direction of Aschbach-Markt when he lost control of his vehicle in a right-hand bend due to excessive speed and wet road conditions.

The motorcyclist was thrown from his machine and landed on the roadway. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Amstetten Hospital by the emergency services. The motorcycle was extensively damaged and had to be towed away.

The L6158 had to be closed for about two hours for the recovery work. The fire brigade from Aschbach-Markt and the police were on duty.
